‘An Understanding of Psychological Empowerment and the Impact on Survival, Sustainability and Success for Entrepreneurs’.
Within the context of intense global competition, organisations are compelled to constantly seek new sources of competitive advantage for survival. One of the ways organisations are fighting to survive is to empower their employees, enabling them to make better decisions, be innovative and creative, which leads to the positive feelings of psychological empowerment of employees, which in turn enhances self-esteem, self-efficacy and self-confidence in employees (Huq, 2015), thus enabling organisations to better position themselves in the global competitive market with a competent workforce. This paper argues in a similar way, entrepreneurs need to empower themselves and pay attention to psychological empowerment and self-empowerment which has the potential to enable them to survive, sustain, be successful in their enterprises and develop competent business skills. Through the concept of empowerment and psychological empowerment they can learn, grow and develop entrepreneurial skills. Ultimately, the challenge for entrepreneurs is to take responsibility for their own learning and understanding regarding psychological empowerment leading to self-empowerment and becoming successful business entrepreneurs.
From theory to practice.
Survival, Sustainability and Success – these are important for you as an Entrepreneur.
With this in mind, I have created a model, which aims to help you achieve your goals successfully, not just at the business level but personal level as well.
You, as an Entrepreneur can benefit by the practical application of this model. In this model, you as an Entrepreneur learn things that are not yet taught in Business Schools, particularly on any Entrepreneurship Modules.
Take responsibility for your own learning.
Don’t wait for things to happen, make it Happen!
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year and Best Wishes for 2019!
